The cover for Russell's Christmas Magic; finished...again!

I've just finished, finally, once again, the cover for 'Russell's Christmas Magic'. The third picture book in the Russell series. The mission to complete the cover has proven to be a Groundhog day experience. I've designed four or five different covers so far, which have been scrutinised by...the whole world...Design the cover...all seems well....the day moves forward with smiling faces all round....everyone loves the cover....marvellous...great...BUT!!! ...one thing!...we've spoken to...could you just...you know...change the design...deja-vu...Groundhog Day!! Gotta say though, I really like the last one. Here' a sample page of the art from Russell's Christmas Magic', and a segment of the storyboard.

OMG! I love your illustration of Russell the Sheep. I'm a sheep freak, and an avid knitter, and I think your one illustration in Russell the Sheep of Granny knitting off the other sheep is just brilliant. I was wondering if you will ever sell products with that illustration? Posters, maybe coffee mugs...I know alot of knitting addicts that would buy them...Okay I know of one knitting addict/Russell fan, that would buy it. I can't wait to see what Russell will do next.

Nice sheep, but we want to see more of Splat the Cat. Sheep are all very well in their place but Splat looks more like our kind of clawed creature. Our human sends her love and says how did you manage to get such a beautiful wife and how does she stay so young looking!

Hi Rob, Will you talk a bit about the technique you use? I'm a digital illustrator and I have a tough time getting the soft textures that you do in your beautiful books.

I am a preschool teacher who is slightly obsessed with Russell the Sheep. I'm thrilled there's a new book and just realized it! I'm off to purchase it this weekend. (Thankfully with a gift card from my class for my birthday) I see a stuffed sheep in some of the book tour pictures. Can I buy one of those? Where? I LOVE him and would LOVE to see more merchandise with Russell and friends!! Keep 'em coming!
